"Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to repeat it." George Santayana

Modern History gives students the chance to investigate humanity's greatest achievements as well as the impacts of its worst decisions. History is a disciplined process of inquiry into the past that develops students' curiosity and imagination. Studying Modern History promotes the understanding of societies, events, ideas, movements, and developments that have shaped humanity in the modern era. When studying, students will discover awe inspiring locations, encounter amazingly diverse cultures and unearth the origins of the modern world. Students will become informed global citizens and understand the causes of world events. Many topics look into reasons for conflicts, inequality, the lack of rights and freedoms, as well as attempts to improve society.
