​The School Based Youth Health Nurse is part of the 

Child, Youth & Family Health/Women & Families Health Service

Sunshine Coast Hospital & Health Service

Works with young people, school staff and parents:

• promote health and well being
• create a supportive, healthy school environment
• connect people with other support services

The Youth Health Nurse can provide health and wellbeing information about

• health eating and physical activity
• feeling unhappy or stressed
• relationships
• healthy skin
• sexual health
• smoking, alcohol and other drugs
• personal and family problems
• growth and development
