Cooroy Campus Library
The Cooroy Campus branch of Noosa District State High School Library aims to support the teaching and learning activities in the school, and to encourage student independence by providing students and staff with access to current and relevant resources. We foster a love of reading as well as promoting information literacy in both print and digital formats.
Resources and Facilities
We provide:
- Print collections: a large collection of resources including reference, non fiction, fiction and periodicals.
- Audio visual resources - DVDs and CDs - generally staff-only loans.
- Two reading and research areas - available for class use during lesson times.
- An additional timetabled classroom.
- Collaboration areas for small groups and clubs.
- Large rear-projected screen for presentations.
Students are encouraged to use the Library during breaks for doing class or assignment work, quiet reading and playing games. Many clubs and competitions operate in the library during lunch breaks
Loans
- Students may borrow resources if they have returned their Student Resource Hire (SRS) Form and have no overdues. General loans are for two weeks.
- Replacement costs for missing books are $20 for fiction and $50 for textbooks.

Hire text-books are loaned through the library for as long as they are required by students.
- Number limits on borrowing books can be negotiated with the Librarian.
- When books on research topics are in high demand they may be 'frozen' for a short period of time, or may be restricted to overnight loan only.
- Reference and Periodical resources are not for loan.
- Printer/photocopier is available for assignment production at a nominal charge.
- All school community members are encouraged to contact the staff for any assistance related to Library resources, facilities and services.
Hours
The library is open from 8.00 am to 3.15 pm Monday to Friday. It is also open during breaks, unless otherwise advertised. A later closing time can be negotiated by prior arrangement. Homework Club usually operates on Wednesday from 3.00pm to 4.30pm, unless otherwise notified.

Pomona Campus Library
The Library at the Pomona campus is the technology and learning hub of the school which aims to support all teaching and learning activities. We facilitate and provide ongoing access and support to a wide range of print and digital resources. Our flexible learning spaces provide opportunities for students to be collaborative, respectful and responsible students.
Resources and Facilities
We provide:
A literature selection including fiction, non-fiction and periodicals that reflects current interest and learning needs for all students. Literature is selected to closely align to the schools Accelerated Reader program (the online reading and comprehension program that tracks student progress).
Flexible learning spaces that support collaborative learning opportunities.
Opportunities to engage in STEM activities such as basic coding, electronic, virtual reality and robotics as well as board games, puzzles and chess during lunchtimes.
