Agricultural Studies is a unique course offered by only a limited number of Queensland schools.

The Cooroy Campus Farm is a Murray Grey Stud and mixed crop farm, the facility enables students to explore commercial farm management principles and animal husbandry.    The school has an outstanding breeding programme which has resulted in the school's very active and highly successful Murray Grey beef cattle show team.  This is an excellent extension for students wishing to further develop their skills and learning.  The facility has many links to local industries and businesses which provide students with unique real world learning experiences.

Because of the fundamental importance of Agriculture to humans, this subject is relevant to all students.

In both year 11 and 12 the course comprises 3 internal assessments weighted at 10%, 20% and 20% and an exam, which in year 12 is an external exam weighted at 50 %
