What is ATHENA?

Noosa District State High School’s Athena program is an Advanced STEM Immersion program for Girls, with the purpose of engaging and extending girls in the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  The ATHENA program contextualises opportunities for girls in STEM industries and provides authentic learning opportunities with world leading female STEM Ambassadors.

Why is ATHENA Unique:

  • By creating a program that is both theoretical and practical, we believe that the right approach and environment inspires and  enables our girls to explore their individual STEM passions whilst removing barriers to their involvement.
  • By providing opportunities to make firm industry links whilst inspiring our next generation of National female STEM leaders
