Economics is one of the widest ranging of Social Sciences critically studying how economics around the world and within Australia operate.

 
Students who study Economics benefit from a vastly enhanced general knowledge and an ability to critically understand government, financial and economic issues.  Modern Economic students develop quickly as responsible citizens aware of global issues and obligations.  Students are encouraged to devise their own solutions to complex current issues such as unemployment and immigration.
 
Economics students learn nearly all of the skills necessary for the Queensland Core Skills test.  Overall, students who study Economics find it interesting, rewarding and challenging.
