One Act Plays ~ Bright Sparks Light Up Again.

Noosa District State High School Live Production students are at again, this time with the design, rig and operation of the Noosa Arts Theatre One
Act Plays.

The top three plays selected through a national playwriting competition are selected and produced at NAT in this annual event. Led by Fraser Grey in Year 12, the four Year 11 students have taken to the theatre with enthusiasm. The Year 11 crew, Mackenzie Allen, Emily Gorman, Khan Gleeson and Renae Cooper have been joined by new recruit Rebecca Mayfield and have attended preproduction meetings with directors, stage manager and set crew. The design for 3 different plays considers time, place, atmosphere and mood and has been established in consultation with the directors and teacher Pete Gorman.

Technical rehearsals are almost complete with final technical rehearsal this Sunday. The plays go live for the first three weeks of July beginning Wednesday evening at 7.30 for a total of 12 performances.

We’d like to thank Noosa Arts for their continued support of the students and encourage you to support the local and regional arts.
