F1 in School Results

Noosa District State High School’s F1 teams had three very strong days on competition at the F1 in Schools State Championships at QUT and Parliament house last week.
The Year 8 Development team known as AFFRETTARSI Racing consisting of Zander Skokidis-Davies, Stuart Chapman, James Lloyd, Sena Pugh and Jess Sayers are now the Queensland State Champions.
AFFRETTARSI will be heading to Canberra in March next year to compete in the National Finals with the chance of being team Australia in 2014.
The highly successful newly restructured High Voltage team, consisting of Rebecca Harris, Max Sayers, Charlie Wilkinson, Adam Strohfeldt and Floyd Wilcox narrowly missed out on first place, and as runners up, they missed out on a place at the nationals.
Both Noosa District F1 teams have worked work every Thursday afternoon, every lunchtime and given up many weekends and school holidays for their success. Both F1 teams have done NDSHS proud.
The F1 in SchoolsTM Technology Challenge is the world’s largest secondary school Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) program. It involves over nine million students from 17,000 schools in 31 nations.
