BYOD, Elearning and Virtual Library Information Session

Every Noosa District SHS student is required to have access to the school network during their lessons at school.
 
To facilitate this all students will have the option of selecting either:
i. Bring your  own device(BYOD)
ii. a school rental computer at $140 per year 
 
Information to assist you in selecting the option most suitable for you.
 

If you choose a School Rental:
 
• Contracts outlining the terms and conditions of rental laptops can be picked up from the finance office or downloaded from documents link below.
• Please complete and detach pages 13 and 17 and return both with payment to Finance Office
• Laptop will only be available on receipt of payment
• After Payment student takes receipt to library for laptop issue
 
Please consider:
 
• Acer Laptops, 2-3 yrs old
• Ongoing cost
• Ed Q internet filter
 
If you choose to BYOD
 
• Read a brochure and registration form – see documents link below
•  please read options #1 & #2
• Return registration to the library
• There is no cost for accessing school BYOD and school network
• Access to the School network will be available in  week 3
Please consider:
 
• Existing or newly purchased own device
• One off payment
• Internet filter only on site at NDSHS
 
 
We are currently constructing our full range of courses online to be available 24/7.  Teachers are also engaged in developing their pedagogy around the inclusion of eLearning principles.
