WHY STUDY VISUAL ART?
Through studying art, students learn to be visually literate. Visual literacy is an important aspect of the technological age. Computers, videos, television, film rely on visual imagery. Visual literacy is about understanding images, and image manipulation.
Visual literacy enhances a student’s capacity to THINK, CREATE and QUESTION.

Using the Inquiry Model of Learning, students determine their own focus to visually communicate their interpretation of the given concept. Work includes:

Why Study Visual Design?
The concept of work as we know is changing. There is an increase in part time or casual work. There is also a shift from employment towards self-employment or smaller enterprise. Access to work is about an individual’s ability to organise a flexible life and career.
VISUAL DESIGN is about developing these sorts of skills.
