Loans General loans are for two weeks. Hire text-books are loaned through the library for as long as they are required by students. Senior students can borrow 2 fiction and 6 non-fiction, Year 10 students, 2 fiction and 4 non-fiction, and Junior students can borrow 2 fiction and 3 non-fiction titles, in excess of textbook loans. When books on research topics are in big demand they may be "frozen" for a short period of time, or may be restricted to overnight loan only. "Senior Fiction" is available to years 11 & 12. Junior students may borrow such titles with written permission from a parent or guardian. The Reference and Periodical resources are not for loan. A photocopier is available in the Library for student use at a nominal charge. For Readers Each year, the library is involved in a number of activities aimed at encouraging students who/to read. These include entering a team in the annual inter-school Readers Cup, organising participation in a readers challenge or read-a-thon, and forming a readers’ group. All school community members are encouraged to contact the staff for any assistance related to the library facilities and services. The library is open from 8am to 3.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 8am to 12.15pm Thursday. It is also open during breaks, unless otherwise advertised. A later closing time can be negotiated by prior arrangement. Contact Phone: 5472 2227 Fax: 5472 2200 |
